The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

We've moved! Please read along here I started this book today and I finished this book today. What a page turner! The opening hooks you immediately and I could not wait to find out what happened. What a WILD freaking ride this book is. Countless unexpected twists and turns. I gave my husband a brief recap when I was on page 230 and he told me to hurry up and finish the book because he wanted to know the ending! This story seems to be about a maid with a tyrant Real Housewives sort of boss and it turns into something COMPLETELY different. I highly recommend this book, so good!  🌶: 0/5

The Last Phone Booth In Manhattan by Beth Merlin and Danielle Modafferi

We've moved! Please read along here This book is an absolute gem. This book begins like a happy ending to a Hallmark Christmas movie and and the life of our MC Avery Lawrence takes a steep turn into nowhereland. She manages to go from riches to rags in a matter of a day. I'll admit, I thought this book would be more "christmasy" based on the candy canes, holly, etc on the cover but this is not a christmas story. Do not let that deter you from reading this. I did not actually arrive at a full theme/grasp on the story until pretty close to the end. But let me tell you, the journey was wonderful. I honestly could not put this book down. Like, reading in the kindle app on my phone during bathroom breaks at work. That type of "could not put it down." While I wouldn't classify this as a love story, the characters are thoughtful, the story is exciting and the ending is phenomenal. If you LOVE Broadway, you'll love this book. If you don't love Broadway

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

We've moved! Please read along here I literally sped through this book and almost forgot that I read it! I wrote a review on my phone in notes and dove into a new book immediately, forgetting to post a review! Anyways, here's what I wrote on 12/5/2023.  A heartfelt and heartwarming story about the need for community, friends and family. Add a sprinkle of witchcraft and you’ve got one lovely book. The characters are extremely well written. Mika finds herself thrust into a household full of characters that bring this story to life. If you’re looking for something spicy, don’t bother but if you’re looking for a story about opening yourself up and casting aside doubts and fears, you’ve found the right book. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a super serious book, it’s definitely light and funny. It’s unlike any witchy book I’ve read recently and I absolutely loved it. I’d venture to guess that you will too! 🌶: 0/5
